Naming, brand identity, collateral and web design for J. Rieger & Co.’s exclusive loyalty program, the Private Stock Society.  Founded by Jacob Rieger in 1887, J. Rieger & Co. was the largest whiskey house in America before Prohibition shut down the distillery’s operation. Years later, in 2014, the great-great-great grandson of Jacob Rieger relaunched the distillery with Kansas City bartender Ryan Maybee. For this project, we had a robust collection of vintage photographs, labels and signage from the original J. Rieger & Co. distillery to pull inspiration from. We created a primary logo that mimicked an original sign found on the distillery and created secondary marks that pulled inspiration from vintage seals and typography.
